Every lot is tested by a third-party, AHRI-certified lab to verify our results.
We supply both new and reclaimed refrigerant — and AHRI 700 holds them to the exact same purity specification. Same molecule, same spec, same lab test behind every lot. The source doesn't change what's in the cylinder; the EPA's own rules even define reclaimed as reprocessed "to virgin specifications." So choose on price and availability, not on a label — whichever you pick, it meets the number.
As of January 1, 2026, any HFC refrigerant sold or labeled as "reclaimed" must meet EPA's federal reclamation standard — no more than 15% virgin HFC by weight — certified, labeled, and backed by batch-level records from an EPA-certified reclaimer. SDS is an EPA-certified reclaimer, so when we sell reclaimed, it ships certified and labeled to that standard. With federal rules pushing reclaimed HFCs into more applications through 2029, and states like California, Washington, and New York running their own HFC programs, certified reclaim is fast becoming the baseline — not the exception.
Counterfeit and illegally imported refrigerant is turning up across the U.S. supply chain — cylinders dressed to look like trusted brands, with contents that don't match the label. The tell is on the label: federal hazard-communication rules require a responsible party — the name, address, and phone of the company standing behind the product. Fakes don't carry one. And "100% virgin R-22"? None has been legally produced or imported in the U.S. since 2020 — so that claim is either old stock or illegal.
Every cylinder SDS ships is marked with its responsible party and lot number — with a COA and chain of custody on file, available on request. If you can't find the RP, walk away.
The risk isn't just regulatory. When we test refrigerant we suspect was illegally imported, it comes back with high moisture, high non-condensables (air), and high acid — the contaminants that kill compressors.

Every cylinder leaves our dock classified, placarded, and shipped to DOT spec.
Most suppliers only fill to standard cylinder weights. We don't have to. If your system calls for a specific design charge, we'll weigh that exact amount into the cylinder — 875 lb in a 1,000 lb cylinder, whatever you need. Just ask.
